Think back for a minute to your childhood? Do your eye’s light up with memories? As I sat here (in the kids section), I thought back to some of mine! I could go on and on about my mom! The stories she would read to me every night before bed! But, one of my best memories is playing “eye spy” with her in the doctors office. When you are a kid (and adult) constantly going to the doctor becomes a nightmare! She was always there for me (and still is today) saying let’s play “eye spy”. I don’t know if she ever knew (MOM YOU WILL NOW!) how much it distracted me! It took the worry of the doctor away and made us have loads of fun! Which was a true gift in a place that often was worry-some. So not only do I continue to love “eye spy” but I also love eyelet patterns. They are playful and fun (just like the game “eye spy”) and they don’t require any work. Certain patterns can create the illusion of “more” without having to put it all together. You literally buy a top with a eyelet/lace pattern and your outfit is complete! It’s a great simple look that makes an “eyelet” opening statement.
